This past Sunday was Chase Anderson's official Homecoming report. Chase gave a fantastic talk and it was great to hear him talk about the people he met in South Africa. He had a lot of fun stories and experiences to share and believe it or not he took up quite a bit of time, he may be more like Jeremy than I have previously thought! Due to the always unpredicatble Idaho weather we woke up to a few inches of snow on the ground and so a few of the extended family members were not able to make the trip to Oakley. However Jeremy's grandma, Uncle Dan, and Aunt Brenda came the night before and it was great to have them around for Chase's big day. The dinner afterward was sooooooo good, Dee always goes above and beyond in the food area (Yay!!) and there was plenty to chow down on. The highlight of the day had to be Tasha's treadmill challenge - Henceforth known as TTC. In discussing fitness (after we all stuffed our faces) Tasha mentioned that she tries to walk on her treadmill at a speed of 4.7 - yes you all read right 4.7!! For those of you who are not familiar with Tasha, she is 100 lbs. dripping wet and she is about 5'1'' . . . needless to say her legs are not the longest things I have ever seen. After about 10 minutes of discussing whether or not this was actually possible, the TTC was born. We all raced downstairs to test Tasha's skills on Dee's treadmill. Jeremy volunteered himself to be the official speed monitor and sure enough Tasha is the queen of the treadmill!!! If anyone out there wants a challenge - I dare you to try and walk at 4.7!!! Tasha you ROCK!
